FS800 has 2.0" string spacing at the bridge, which fingerstyle players will usually say is....way too narrow. FG800 is fine.

The burst makes the biggest difference in tone.

Both have the jangle Taylor tone.

The neck of the 15E seems a little thicker than the 15M, not quite the low-oval profile, a little more chonky.

I’ve played both, and would prefer both (obviously), but the 28 if I had to choose one. Much tighter and more controllable.

I actually thinnk the Japanese one has a somewhat " dead" tone. Same in other comparison videos I've heard.

Dang... he sold me on two words. V NECK All the newer L-00 have round necks and it just doesn't feel right. Might consider one of these... they are 2000 less than the average L-00

Love your videos! There are many other reviews of this amp but none that dive into its vocal capabilities. After all, the amp is designed for the solo singer/guitarist not just for guitar players.

For me that top pickguard is a deal breaker, hopefully it can be removed without ruining the top. Sound wise not something for traditional conjunto music. But, for accordion/sax music it should pair up really nice. Kinda interested in checking one out.

Great tone and clarity. I found myself wanting a bit more in the bottom end but I'll listen again with better speakers and with time that could bloom

Uuuuuuugggghhhh I need one. I played one at my local shop a lot until they sold it. I WILL have one. Sooner than later. Somehow. Such amazing low end without being woofy, excels at Blues AND Country. Feels great. The easiest playing acoustic I’ve ever touched. Loud and articulate. And that BODY. Good lord, she’s hot.

There seems to be a slight relativly muted quality to the Sitka top that the Adirondack breaks free from. I don't know if thats the top variety or the glue or any number of things, but that's my take away.

I have the14 fret Martin. I want the 12 fret Martin.

I have an OM-18V and a CEO-7. I've dreamed of cherry picking my favorite features of each and merging them into what I think would be the perfect guitar for me. Until then, I have two near perfect guitars!

I would pick the Martin. I was surprised by the Taylor. It had the fullest ..not scooped midrange..but no presence in the high end at all. I thought Taylors were known for their shiny sound. Not in this one.

Taylor was the only dud.

Quinton is the King! This is a great guitar, but I have two Adirondack over mahogany Martins. This would fit in the middle though.

Crisp but not clattery or clacky, nice. This is a guitar that lives to be in a studio or beat up in the woods at a gnarly picking session. By gum that's a beautiful light but not thin timbre. It's like if a summer morning breeze was a guitar; gently pushing through your curtains and artfully tickling your skin and hair but with the strength to punch through the glass if you should close the window.

I own one of these Music Villa Martin Custom Shop 000-18 VTS with torrified Adirondack top s. The Adirondack seems to match my voice better, has more headroom, and the MVCS comes with Golden Era Adirondack bracing and a thinner top. Great sounding guitar, especially after playing it a lot. Thanks! Very interesting. I remember the first time I heard the differences between a 000-28 with a ‘normal’ spruce top and one with an Adirondack top. I was amazed at how good the one with the Adirondack top sounded and I convinced myself to save and invest in a great guitar with an Adirondack top. What I didn’t really realised was the fact that in this search (that started on the internet, watching RUclips channels like yours) I factually only heard the Adirondack appointment to rosewood guitars. And I always loved the Adirondack versions more. BUT….. (there had to be a but, wouldn’t you agree? 🥴)… I am a ‘hog type of guy’. I just love the warmth and the more mid focused character of guitars with mahogany back and sides. And I couldn’t wait until I finally found a video of a 000-18 with an Adirondack top. I’m not sure, but I think it was a video on your great channel. And…. I didn’t like it! There’s quite a huge difference in my opinion between normal spruce and Adirondack. I remember me thinking that this could be a little exception to ‘the rule’, but then I found another example and now I find myself commenting on this video, concluding that Adirondack tops work amazingly well on rosewood guitars, but I don’t really like them on mahogany guitars. By no means do I think it sounds bad, but it seems to take away a large chunk of all the things I love about mahogany guitars like Martin’s 18 series and the J-45 for instance. I consider myself extremely lucky to already own three beautiful mahogany guitars (J-45, 000-18 and a 00-15m). But when I (can) go for a good rosewood guitar, I’d probably be looking for something with an Adirondack top (and bracing! I never believed THAT would make a difference, but it absolutely does!). Sorry for my lengthy comment and thanks for another insightful video! 🧡🧡🧡

I went in to the store sure I was walking out with the 000. After paying them both side by side I went with the 00. It had a richer warmer sound to it than the 000. Could have been the day, the specific guitars, or was in my ears, but that’s what I did and I have no regrets. I like the smaller body as well. I have two dreadnaughts and wanted something smaller to bang around.

Why do some of these guitars I have seen in different videos have the bridge the opposite way? Exact same model!!

Correction, 8:13, Anthem has an under saddle pick-up and PZM mic with 250Hz crossover between them, the pick-up focusing on the low frequencies, and the dial you need the tool to adjust should probably be set at 75% (the mic can be over-driven, from what i've heard someone else say). Anyhow, would've been nice to include the internal mic on the K&K Sound guitar to hear that, but yeah, i hadn't heard of the HiFi, does seem to be the best one. I wonder if I would feel the same if the comparison was done on classical nylon guitars? Thanks guys!

The red labels from yamaha are some of the best sounding guitars out there and your not paying thousands of dollars for a martin gibson or taylor. Yamaha is by far the best value in the acoustic game
